Parkland Health Center is pleased to announce that Stephanie Johnson has been selected as the ICARE Star Service Team Member for February 2018. Stephanie is a patient access representative and has worked at Parkland Health Center for three years.
Excerpts from Stephanie’s nomination read, “Our February ICARE employee of the month goes above and beyond to help her coworkers, from staying late to coming in early or picking up extra shifts. She does it all with a smile. She is kind-hearted and compassionate to everyone she meets. Her sweet, energetic personality will bring a smile to your face on days you do not feel like smiling. She is a joy to be around.”
When asked what she likes about her job at Parkland, Stephanie responded, “I like the people; my coworkers, what I do, helping, being part of a team.” Reflecting on the award, Stephanie said, “I was on the phone with a patient when I heard my name announced. I didn’t know what to say to my patient! I’m happy.”
ICARE is Parkland’s patient experience service initiative and the acronym stands for the following values; Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence.
