Parkland Health Center is pleased to announce that Marianne Fournie, RN, BSN, MBA, has accepted the position of chief nursing officer at Parkland Health Center. She replaces Lauren Beckmann, who has taken another position within BJC HealthCare.
Fournie began her position with Parkland Health Center on May 15. Past experience includes serving as chief nursing officer and director of patient care at Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital, and extensive clinical and administrative experience, mostly within emergency services and ambulatory care, with SSM Health and Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare in Memphis. Most recently, Fournie served as project lead for a BJC system-wide labor productivity project and on the selection committee and the clinical champion team for Epic. Epic is the single, integrated electronic medical record system for BJC hospitals, Washington University physicians and BJC Medical Group.
Fournie earned her bachelor of science in nursing degree from St. Louis University and her MBA with a focus in health care from Webster University. She has been an active member in leadership roles for a variety of charitable organizations in St. Louis and is the recipient of numerous awards, including the St. Louis Magazine Nursing Excellence Leadership Award in 2012.
“I am delighted to be at Parkland Health Center,” said Fournie. “The people I have met, both at the hospital and in the surrounding area, are so friendly and welcoming, and I look forward to being a part of the community.”
“Marianne is well known throughout BJC and comes to Parkland with a wealth of experience, both inside and outside of the organization,” said Tom Karl, president, Parkland Health Center. “We welcome Marianne to the Parkland team and to the community, and we certainly look forward to working with her.”
