Parkland Health Center is pleased to announce that Nathan O’Neal has been selected as the Star Service Team Member for April 2017. Nathan is Lead Security Officer at Parkland Health Center in Farmington, and has worked at Parkland for nearly six years. Prior to working in the security department, Nathan worked in the patient access department at Parkland.
When asked, Nathan quickly stated what he likes most about his job by saying, “Our officers. No matter what happens, we’ve all got each other’s back.”
The nomination from Nathan’s peers reads in part, “Our star service employee for April has a sincere love of his work. He is always upbeat and has a smile on his face for everyone he meets. He is an excellent example . . . in the way he takes care of our patients, families, visitors and staff. He happily goes the extra mile in any situation and his ability to show compassion shines bright. He has a high respect for accountability and teamwork and is a person you know you can count on.”
When asked how he felt about being honored with the Star Service award, Nathan expressed that he would be much more comfortable if the entire team had been honored. He said, “We work together as a team and we all do a good job. But I do appreciate it.”
