Birnbaum, MD, Quality Leadership Award from Vizient, Inc, and in 2017 Parkland-Farmington was designated as a Level III Missouri State Time Critical Diagnosis Stroke Center as well as earning The Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval and The Joint Commission re-certification, advanced primary stroke center.
