Good health is not all good luck. It is a result of how we learn to take care of ourselves and how we understand the changes we face at different times in our lives. Changes lead to choices, and we hope you will accept the choice of exercise.

Even if you have had an infirmity, exercise can be an integral part of your recovery...and now that recovery can happen here in Bonne Terre. Parkland Health Center has brought a state-of-the-art exercise and rehabilitation program to our community.

Within the 6,000-square foot facility members can use cardiovascular equipment, weight equipment, and an indoor walking track. There are wellness classes and alternative therapies such as yoga and massage therapy. There is also a therapeutic pool and cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation programs to help many begin their journey to good health.

We invite you to join us at the new Well Life Center at 118 E. School St., Bonne Terre. It is medically supervised by a medical director, nurses, exercise therapists and a registered dietitian. Upon deciding to participate in the Well Life Center, an evaluation of your physical condition will be made and a regime designed for your comfort and progress by the Well Life Center team.

Learning how to become fit, and how to stay fit, is a great step toward a "well-thier" you.
