Unique aspect about the facility: Our newly remodeled department serves a multicounty region including St. Francois, Madison, Ste. Genevieve, Washington, Reynolds, Jefferson and Iron counties in Missouri.

And more: Our obstetrics department offers four fully-equipped birthing rooms, five semi-private rooms and six new private rooms. The department is very family-centered and offers a home-like environment with open visitation for friends and family. The father or another family member is welcome to stay overnight in the room with mother and baby. Medical equipment in the comfortable birthing rooms looks like furniture from a home bedroom, creatively hidden away when not needed. The expectant family's experience is more like a hotel stay with amenities such as flat-screen TVs with DVD players and showers in each private room to make the experience more pleasant.

Childbirth classes are available to all moms-to-be in the seventh month of pregnancy, and sibling classes are tailored by age. Breastfeeding classes are scheduled on demand.
