Medically supervised programs are available for people with heart disease or breathing disorders at the Parkland Huckstep Rehabilitation Center. A specially trained staff evaluates patients, then designs and oversees individual exercise programs.

The programs provide exercise and education to improve the quality of life for people in a group setting with support to both the patient and family. The Center provides rehabilitation and education for patients after myocardial infarction, coronary artery bypass grafting, angioplasty or stable angina, as well as pulmonary patients.

A trans-telephonic pacemaker monitoring service is available to all pacemaker recipients for regular pacemaker follow-up and correspondence with the referring physician.
