Childbirth classes are available to all moms-to-be in the seventh month of pregnancy and free for those delivering at Parkland Health Center. Topics include:
- Different birthing methods, including Lamaze
- Different birthing options
- Medications
- What to expect during the last trimester
- Breastfeeding
- Prenatal and postnatal care
- Sibling programs
Parkland Health Center's childbirth classes are 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Mondays (four sessions) in conference room C at 810 Progress Drive in Farmington, Missouri. From Highway 67 take Highway W west. Turn left on the first road past Captain D's. It's the second building on the left. Use the side entrance with the ramp. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring two pillows with you.
