Think “FAST”
F - Face - Ask the person to smile; is his face drooping on one side?
A - Arms - Is she able to lift both arms equally, or is one arm suddenly weaker?
S - Speech - Is his speech garbled, or is he unable to speak?
T - Time - It’s time to call 9-1-1- for help.
Other signs can include sudden:
- Changes in vision or balance
- Dizziness
- Severe headache
- Weakness, usually on one side of the body
If you think someone is having a stroke, call 9-1-1 immediately.
